Sept 12, 2012. Another fine Avignon Night

After spending the day exploring the Papal Palace in Avignon, Elaine and took a taxi back to the Place de L’Horloge in old town Avignon to grab some dinner and the treat ourselves to a leisurely evening walk.

There’s just something magic in these small and ancient Provencal towns at night.  You belong to another era and feel the presence of times past as one explores the centuries old roads.  Of course, that just might be the wine talking.

All the shots made in the following gallery were taken with a Pentax K-5 DSLR, which is known for being  a great low light camera.  It certainly lives up to its well earned reputation.   Never before could I have imagined talking so many successful handheld shots in sheer darkness.
