Nov 3, 2019 – Another Friendly PEI Fox.

PEI has foxes, lots of them. What’s uncanny is how friendly they are.

Today whilst en-route to Thunder Cove Beach, I spotted this guy crossing the road. I stopped the Jeep to grab my camera and a telephoto lens, the fox did not budge, nor did he show any fear whatsoever when I got out of the vehicle. I approached him and he gladly sat down for a pose and then rested. I was perhaps 7 feet away and could have come even closer, but then my telephoto lens would have hard time locking focus at such a short distance.

I even bored him enough that he feel asleep. This happens in the GTA…never!!

  1. Great shots! I’m visiting PEI from Toronto in late December and would love to photograph the local foxes. Are they all over the island? I was planning to drive around PEI national park and try my luck there. Any tips?

    thanks

    1. Hello Anand, that’s for the compliment! Foxes are not that hard to find, if you are driving around the island, sooner or later you will spot one. I’ve see a few near PEI National Park as well.
