Sept 12, 2020 – Digby, Nova Scotia

I stayed in Digby last Saturday night after a day of motorcycling through Halifax, Bedford and Peggy’s Cove. I really like this small town – it is never too crowded nor is it commercialized. A perfect Atlantic destination that remains true to its roots and a great place to eat if you love scallops.

Named after Admiral Robert Digby, the town is famous for its scallop fishing fleet and the MV Fundy Rose ferry service connecting to Saint John, New Brunswick. Digby is situated on the western shore of the Annapolis Basin near the entrance to the Digby Gut, which connects the basin to the Bay of Fundy.
